Bamboo flooring offers a variety of color and grain options. Generally, fiber bamboo wood has a grain that is more reminiscent of wood than bamboo. In contrast, wide slat bamboo (horizontal) has an obvious bamboo look with its wide slat structure. High-slat bamboo has a more neutral appearance.
Bamboo flooring comes with color options that include natural and muted bamboo, which is called caramel. The natural and caramel colors of horizontal and vertical bamboo differ significantly, with natural being very light and caramel being a medium tone.
In contrast, fiber bamboo is produced by a process in which it is cut into thin strips and pressed under high temperatures, resulting in colors that tend to be darker than those of horizontal and vertical bamboo. So for a light mid-tone with a yellowish hue, Natural fiber bamboo is a good option, while Caramel fiber bamboo, or Coffee as it is sometimes called, provides warm, dark, wood-like tones.

The appearance of vertical bamboo is less obviously bamboo-like and offers a more neutral overall appearance. Vertical bamboo planks are available in natural and caramel colors and fit in almost anywhere in terms of appearance.
