Bamboo is a rapidly renewable natural resource that grows to maturity and optimum hardness in approximately five years. It is able to reach its full height (10-20m) within a year and then develops full strength and thickness within five years.
Although strand woven bamboo products look and behave like wood, bamboo is a grass species, and not wood. It is derived
sustainably from rapidly renewable, well managed plantations that require minimal treatment as bamboo is strongly resistant to diseases,
insects and climatic conditions.
Bamboo offers an attractive and high performance supplement to our limited global supply of valuable hardwoods used in commercial, residential, interior design and furnishing applications.
After planing and sanding on both sides, the planks are milled with Tongue & Groove or the Uniclic system, and finished
with 6 layers of water-based and solvent-free Klumpp® coatings and UV cured.
